Optical disk storage, like all forms of digital storage has a very
important role in establishing and maintaining the accuracy, reliability
and trustworthiness of electronic records. To date, optical disk storage
has achieved this without any known legal exceptions. The durability,
robustness, removeability, longevity (including backward read compatibility)
and flexibility of access (in near-line, off-line and selected on-line applications)
suggest that optical disk storage will continue to play an important role for storing
electronic records in a trustworthy manner.
- - The M-Series MO (Magneto Optical) libraries have been superseded by the G-Series family of libraries Powered by UDO, which were introduced to provide greater archival storage capacity and a backward compatible roadmap for the future. The M-Series MO Libraries were End of Life on 1 November 2004 (see details in Service - Technical Support). Some models remain available in limited supply. Please contact Sales for information.
- - The D-Series is Plasmon's high capacity family of DVD data storage libraries.
